Alexis Stubbs earned Washington College women’s volleyball Shorewoman of the Week honors after reaching 1,000 career assists during the Shorewomen’s four-set victory over Immaculata on September 26, 2026. The junior reached the milestone on a kill by Lyndsey Wessel that gave Washington College a 21-14 lead in the fourth set.
Washington College won the set 25-18 to secure the match victory. Stubbs finished the contest with 30 assists and six aces, tying her career high in aces. It was the first Shorewoman of the Week honor of her career.

Stubbs also recorded match highs of 17 assists and three aces in Washington College’s three-set victory over Wilson on September 24. She averaged 6.71 assists per set and 1.29 aces per set during the Shorewomen’s 2-0 week.
The Marietta, Georgia, native attended Mount Paran Christian School. Stubbs entered the week with 1,001 career assists.
Washington College women’s volleyball was scheduled to play at Goucher on September 30 at 7 p.m., at Widener on October 1 at 7 p.m. and to host Gettysburg on October 3 at 1 p.m.
