Arundel High School in Gambrills competes as the Wildcats and has won more than 30 Maryland state championships. Baseball leads the tradition with 10 state titles from 1976 through 2006. Arundel also owns championships in football, basketball, lacrosse, soccer, track and field, cheerleading, golf, softball, wrestling, unified bocce and volleyball; the football program added the 2024 Class 3A crown. Notable Wildcats include longtime Major League Soccer and U.S. national-team midfielder Kyle Beckerman and former NFL wide receiver Darnerien McCants.
