Severna Park High School competes as the Falcons and owns one of Maryland’s broadest public-school championship traditions. Field hockey has won more than 20 state championships, while boys lacrosse has collected more than 15 and girls lacrosse has won more than a dozen. The Falcons also have multiple state titles in boys and girls soccer, cross country, volleyball, baseball, softball and swimming. Notable alumni include former Major League Baseball pitcher Josh Banks and NFL kicker Trey Smack, who continued his career at Florida before reaching the professional level.
