Northeast High School in Pasadena competes as the Eagles and maintains a natural local rivalry with Chesapeake. Northeast baseball built a celebrated powerhouse under coaches Al Kohlhafer and Joe Lentz, including an undefeated 24-0 team in 1992 that finished ranked No. 1 nationally. Boys basketball won the program’s first MPSSAA state championship in 2024. Notable alumnus Glynn Davis reached professional baseball and played in the Baltimore Orioles organization. The Eagles’ athletic identity is closely tied to Pasadena and generations of community-supported teams.
