Chopticon High School is the Maryland Sports Blog category for the Chopticon Braves. St. Mary’s County public schools compete in the Southern Maryland Athletic Conference and the MPSSAA, while St. Mary’s Ryken competes in the WCAC. This page collects MSB reporting, scores, championship coverage, recruiting developments and notable alumni stories connected to Chopticon High School. The school’s official athletics page is retained by MSB as the primary program source so future championship and player milestones can be added without changing the category identity. Chopticon has won Maryland championships in baseball and softball and has a strong SMAC tradition in football, wrestling and track and field. The Braves have produced NCAA and professional baseball players.
