Crofton High School opened in 2020 and competes as the Cardinals, making it one of Anne Arundel County’s newest athletic programs. Despite that short history, Crofton quickly reached the state level. The boys outdoor track and field team won a Class 4A state championship, and the boys indoor track program also captured a Class 4A title. Those early championships established a foundation for a growing department that fields teams across the MPSSAA calendar. As the school is still building its alumni history, its first generations of Cardinals are defining the program’s identity.
