Maryland Sports Blog LLC was founded by Brian Hradsky with a simple goal: to provide fast, professional, and factual sports news and commentary across the state of Maryland.
What began as a passion project has grown into one of Maryland’s dedicated independent sports media outlets, covering everything from the Baltimore Ravens, Baltimore Orioles, and Washington Capitals to Maryland colleges, universities, high schools, and local athletes.
Maryland Sports Blog was originally started by Brian Hradsky in 2010 while attending college. During that time, Hradsky interned at WBAL and helped cover the Baltimore Ravens for the television program Sportsline. The experience helped inspire the creation of Maryland Sports Blog and reinforced a passion for sports journalism and storytelling that continues today.
Hradsky graduated from Towson University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in the Journalism track while also earning a Broadcast Certificate. The combination of classroom education and real-world experience covering Maryland sports helped lay the foundation for what would eventually become Maryland Sports Blog LLC.
Since its founding, Maryland Sports Blog has worked to shine a spotlight on Maryland sports at every level. While professional teams often dominate headlines, Maryland Sports Blog believes the stories of local colleges, high schools, amateur athletes, and community programs are equally important and deserve quality coverage.
Brian is a lifelong and passionate sports fan who loves all things Maryland. An avid hockey player, Hradsky spends much of his free time on the ice while closely following the state’s sports landscape. His favorite teams are the Baltimore Ravens, Washington Capitals, and Baltimore Orioles, three organizations that have provided countless memories for Maryland sports fans over the years.
Over the years, numerous writers, contributors, and interns have written for Maryland Sports Blog as they worked to build their resumes, gain valuable experience, and advance their careers in sports media, journalism, communications, and marketing. Maryland Sports Blog remains committed to helping aspiring sportswriters develop their skills while providing readers with quality content.
At its core, Maryland Sports Blog is built on a love of sports and community. Brian enjoys connecting with fellow fans and discussing Maryland sports in depth.
