Washington College men’s soccer honored junior Calvin Field after two shutouts and 15 saves during a 1-0-1 week for the Washington College Shoremen. Field earned his first career Shoreman of the Week honor on Sept. 28, 2026.
Field helped Washington College men’s soccer defeat York (Pa.) 2-0 on Sept. 22 before making nine saves in a scoreless draw against Dickinson on Sept. 26. The two shutouts were the first two of Field’s career.
Calvin Field’s Career-Best Performance Against Dickinson
Field made a career-best nine saves in the draw against Dickinson and recorded the first shutout of his career. He made several key saves late in the match, including one with 23:41 remaining to maintain the scoreless tie.
This performance gave Field the second shutout of his week. He had earlier recorded six saves in the win over York (Pa.).
Field Helps Washington College Secure Win Over York (Pa.)
Field made six saves against York (Pa.) on Sept. 22. He recorded four saves in the second half, including three while Washington College held a 1-0 lead, helping the Shoremen secure the victory.
Field is from Woodstock, Conn., and attended Woodstock Academy. His two shutouts and 15 saves earned him his first Shoreman of the Week selection.
Washington College Men’s Soccer Schedule
Washington College men’s soccer is scheduled to face Franklin & Marshall on Sept. 30 at 7 p.m. The Shoremen then travel to No. 25 Haverford on Oct. 3 for a 3 p.m. match and visit Johns Hopkins on Oct. 10 at 7 p.m.
The remaining listed schedule includes Muhlenberg on Oct. 17 at 7 p.m., a visit to Swarthmore on Oct. 21 at 7 p.m., a trip to Ursinus on Oct. 24 at noon and a matchup with Gettysburg on Oct. 31 at 4 p.m.
