The Washington College Shoremen and Shorewomen represent one of Maryland’s oldest and most respected collegiate athletic traditions. Based in historic Chestertown on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, Washington College has sponsored intercollegiate athletics since the 19th century, with baseball dating back to the 1870s. Founded in 1782 with the support of George Washington, the college blends academic excellence with a proud history of NCAA Division III competition.
Competing primarily in the Centennial Conference, the Shoremen and Shorewomen field teams in baseball, basketball, field hockey, golf, lacrosse, rowing, sailing, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, trap & skeet, and volleyball.
