Orioles release Chris Jones
The Baltimore Orioles have announced that they have releases left-handed pitcher Chris Jones. Jones was designated for assignment earlier this week to make room for Nelson Cruz.
Jones posted a very good 2.85 total era last season pitching for three teams. I am a little surprised that Jones was released because he cleared waivers and was free to stay in the minors.
