Caroline Vogelsang led the Carroll Community College Lynx Track & Field Team to six school records at a meet in Millersville, Pennsylvania, where every Carroll runner, jumper, and thrower posted a season-best or lifetime-best performance. Vogelsang set new records in the 800 meters and 5,000 meters, while Jesse Gresh, Carter Wright, Marshall Whitlow, and Ezekiel Harris also established school marks.
Caroline Vogelsang Adds Two Records
Vogelsang now holds Carroll Community College school records in the 800, 1,500, 1 mile, 3,000, 3,000 meter steeplechase, and 5,000 meters on the track. She also owns the school records in the 4K, 5K, and 6K in cross country, giving her records in nine events at Carroll Community College.
She is scheduled to attempt the 10,000 meter school record Friday at the Carpenter Case Invitational at McDaniel College. A successful attempt would give her the school record in every women’s distance event on the track and cross country course.
Four More Carroll Records
Jesse Gresh broke his own school record in the 5,000 meters. Carter Wright set a school record in the 400 meter hurdles, Marshall Whitlow established a record in the high jump, and Ezekiel Harris set a school record in the 200 meters.
Alyssa Ruff competed in the 100, 200, and 400 meters as part of a performance in which every Carroll runner, jumper, and thrower posted either a season-best or lifetime-best.
Carroll Community College Lynx Track & Field Team Schedule
The Lynx are set to compete Friday, April 24, at the Carpenter Case Invitational at McDaniel College. The men’s relay team will compete Saturday, April 25, at the Penn Relays.
Vogelsang will also attempt the 10,000 meter school record Friday at McDaniel College, following her record-setting performances at Millersville.
