The Baltimore Orioles may have made their best one-year signing in franchise history when they signed Nelson Cruz. Cruz has carried the Orioles offense all season and now has 20 home runs and it is not even June yet.
Cruz also has 52 RBI’s and a great .315 batting average. Cruz has been solid in the outfield when asked to play there and has stayed healthy.
With the Orioles having injury problems with Chris Davis, Matt Wieters and Manny Machado. Davis and Machado still have not been the hitters that they were laat season for the Orioles. Cruz has been the one solid rock that the Orioles have been able to lean on.
Time will tell how many home runs Cruz will hit this season but it is fair to say it has to be between 40 to 60.
