Washington College men’s golf opened its season at The Northampton Cup hosted by Albright in Easton, Pennsylvania. The Shoremen entered two teams, with the A team finishing 12th at 324, or 36 over par, and the B team placing 14th at 342, or 54 over par.
Matt Young Leads A Team Effort
Matt Young led the A team by shooting six over par, finishing 29th overall. Jonathon Stumpff followed at eight over par, while Mason Myatt shot nine over par. The A team concluded the competition with a total score of 324.
Charlie Miller Shines in Collegiate Debut for B Team
Freshman Charlie Miller led the B team at seven over par during his collegiate debut and secured 35th place overall. Ryan Schuh shot 14 over par, and Xander Nicholson finished at 15 over par. The B team ended in 14th place with a total score of 342.
Next Up: Dickinson College Invite
The Shoremen will compete at the Dickinson College Invite in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, from Sunday, September 6 through Monday, September 7. This event follows their opening competition at The Northampton Cup.
