Mount St. Mary’s Golf Programs Announce 2026 Fall Schedules

Mount St. Mary’s golf is preparing for a busy fall as both the men’s and women’s programs will compete in five tournaments during the opening portion of the 2026-27 season.
The Mountaineers released their fall schedules Wednesday, with the women set to begin competition Sept. 11 and the men opening three days later on Sept. 14. Both programs will travel throughout the Mid-Atlantic region during the fall, while the women will also get an opportunity to compete at home.
Mount Women Open at Bucknell
The Mount St. Mary’s women’s golf team begins its fall campaign at the Bucknell Invitational in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, from Sept. 11-13.
It will be a familiar destination for the Mountaineers. Mount St. Mary’s also competed at Bucknell during the 2025 fall season, making the tournament an early opportunity to measure the program’s progress from one year to the next.
Immediately after Bucknell, the Mount returns to Maryland for one of the highlights of the fall schedule.
Mount St. Mary’s will host the Charge at Quail on Sept. 14-15. Hosting a tournament gives the Mountaineers a rare opportunity to compete close to home while avoiding the travel demands that accompany much of the college golf schedule.
The women then head to Pennsylvania for Lehigh’s Autumn Harvest on Sept. 28-29.
That tournament also returns from last season’s schedule. Mount St. Mary’s competed in the Autumn Harvest on Sept. 29, 2025, giving returning golfers familiarity with the event.
The Mountaineers will make a short trip to Annapolis for a tournament hosted by Navy on Oct. 3-4 before concluding their fall campaign with another trip to Lehigh on Oct. 26-27.
Mount St. Mary’s competed in both the Navy Fall Invitational and Autumn Harvest during the 2025 fall season, providing the program with experience on several of the courses and tournament formats it will encounter again this year.

- Sept. 11-13 — Bucknell Invitational, Lewisburg, Pa.
- Sept. 14-15 — Charge at Quail, hosted by Mount St. Mary’s
- Sept. 28-29 — Lehigh Autumn Harvest
- Oct. 3-4 — Navy
- Oct. 26-27 — Lehigh
Men Face Challenging Five-Tournament Slate
The Mount St. Mary’s men’s program will open its season Sept. 14-15 at the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational in Huntington, West Virginia.
The tournament will be played at Guyan Golf and Country Club and immediately gives the Mountaineers a multi-round test away from home.
One week later, Mount St. Mary’s travels to compete in the River Run Collegiate, hosted by Davidson, on Sept. 21-22.
The Mount then returns to Maryland for one of its most interesting tournaments of the fall.
Mount St. Mary’s will participate in the Testudo Cup, hosted by the University of Maryland, on Oct. 5-6 in Ijamsville.
The Testudo Cup is another familiar event for the Mountaineers. Mount St. Mary’s competed in the tournament during the spring of 2025, and former Mount golfer Aaron Sorkin posted rounds of 71, 78 and 75 in that appearance.
The Mountaineers then head north for the Bucknell Invitational from Oct. 11-13 in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.
Bucknell has become a regular stop on the Mount schedule. The men competed there during both the 2024 and 2025 fall seasons.
Mount St. Mary’s will close the fall portion of the schedule with its longest trip.
The Mountaineers travel to South Carolina for USC Upstate’s Fripp Island Intercollegiate from Oct. 23-25.
Fripp Island has also produced some notable performances for the program in recent years. During the 2024 tournament, Sorkin shot a three-round total of 206, including a second-round 63, and finished the tournament seven-under par.

Familiar Courses Could Help the Mount
There is plenty of continuity built into both schedules.
The women return to Bucknell, Lehigh and Navy after competing at those events during the 2025 fall season. The men will return to Bucknell and Fripp Island while also getting another opportunity to compete in the Testudo Cup.
That familiarity can be valuable in college golf. Course knowledge, green complexes, preferred landing areas and an understanding of how a course changes during tournament conditions can all become advantages for returning players.
The schedules also give both programs a variety of challenges.
The women will play five events across Maryland and Pennsylvania while getting the benefit of hosting the Charge at Quail.
The men will travel through West Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, Pennsylvania and South Carolina, giving the Mountaineers a wide range of courses and competition before the season pauses for the winter.
For both teams, the fall is ultimately about establishing momentum and identifying the golfers who can consistently contribute once championship season arrives in the spring.

Mount St. Mary’s has put together two strong fall schedules that should give both golf programs exactly what they need: tournament repetitions, quality regional competition and several opportunities to return to familiar courses.
The women’s schedule is especially appealing because the Mount gets an opportunity to host the Charge at Quail immediately after opening at Bucknell. For a program that spends most of its competitive season traveling, getting a tournament close to home is significant.
The men’s schedule might be even more demanding. Trips to Marshall, Davidson, Maryland, Bucknell and USC Upstate give the Mountaineers five different tests in less than six weeks.
Golf can sometimes get overlooked once football and soccer dominate the fall sports calendar, but Mount St. Mary’s will have plenty happening on the course this September and October.
The road to the spring championship season begins Sept. 11 for the women and Sept. 14 for the men.
