The Maryland Terrapins lost to the LSU Tigers 69 to 67 in the second round of the NCAA tournament. The Terps mounted a great comeback but really the game should have at least gone into overtime.
Officiating was going LSU’s way all game but Tremont Waters clearly traveled on his game winning basket.
Waters not only clearly traveled but he made it obvious that he did by tucking the ball under like a football. The real question is how did the refs miss it?
Well I personally do not think refs miss plays like that, they clearly decided not to call it a travel, why I do not know, your guess is as good as mine.
Watch for yourself, the refs blew this call and a chance for the Terps to advance to the Sweet 16.
