With Pitta sideline Ravens sign new tight end
The Baltimore Ravens have signed tight end Billy Bajema a veteran tight end. The Ravens are short on tight ends with Dennis Pitta being out 4 to 6 weeks with a broken hand.
Bajema is a veteran tight end who has played in 106 NFL games and has scored two touchdowns in his career. The Ravens cut QB John Brantley to make room for Bajema. My take on this move is that Bajema will fill a practice spot while Pitta is recovering from his broken hand.
The Ravens are hoping that Pitta will be back for the season opener.
Here is Jeff Zrebiec’s tweets confirming the move.
