Webb's back injury could be a big concern
Baltimore Ravens starting corner Lardarius Webb has missed most of training camp with a back injury. There looks to be no structural damage to Webb’s back which is a good sign but the fact that he is still not practicing is something to be worried about. The Ravens are thin at corner right now with the loss of Aaron Ross and the fact that Chykie Brown has not had a good camp.
The Ravens right now are taking things easy with Webb. Webb is a very good corner when healthy and they need him to start opposite of Jimmy Smith. The Ravens may look to add more cornerback depth as the training camp and preseason go on.
Back injuries are not something that football players can usually play with. The back is not like a finger or an arm and playing with a bad back could lead to other injuries.
Webb is a very talented player but he has been injured before. Webb has torn his ACL twice but to the best of my knowledge has never had any back issues.
