Washington Spirit Moves Defender Kate Wiesner to Season-Ending Injury List After Fractured Ankle

The Washington Spirit moved defender Kate Wiesner from the 45-day injury list to the season-ending injury list as she continues her rehabilitation from a fractured ankle, the club announced on October 3, 2026. Wiesner suffered the injury in the Washington Spirit’s home win over Bay FC last month and underwent successful surgery in late August. She will continue working with the Spirit’s medical and performance staff during her rehabilitation.
