Washington Spirit Defender Élisabeth Tsé Earns Second Canada Call-Up for Denmark Friendlies

Washington Spirit defender Élisabeth Tsé earned her second consecutive call-up to the Canada Women’s National Team for two home friendlies against Denmark. Canada will play Denmark at Stade Saputo in Montréal on Friday, Oct. 9, at 7 p.m. EDT, followed by a match at BMO Field in Toronto on Monday, Oct. 12, at 3:30 p.m. EDT.

Tsé made her senior debut for Canada in June and will join Washington Spirit teammate Gabrielle Carle for the October matches. The call-up continues Tsé’s involvement with the Canadian senior team after her first selection.

Élisabeth Tsé’s Canada Experience

Before reaching Canada’s senior team, Tsé competed for the country at the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica. She also helped Canada win bronze at the 2022 Concacaf Women’s U-20 Championship in the Dominican Republic.

Tsé joined the Washington Spirit during the offseason and has appeared in 15 matches for the team this year. The defender has played more than 600 minutes for the Spirit.

Tsé’s Role With the Washington Spirit

Tsé made her first start in a Spirit kit in the team’s 2025-26 Concacaf W Champions Cup semifinal against Pachuca in May. Washington advanced to the continental final with a 1-0 win.

The Washington Spirit will host Gotham FC at Audi Field on Saturday, Oct. 17, at 12:30 p.m. EDT.
