Washington Spirit forward Trinity Rodman and defender Tara Rudd will join the U.S. Women’s National Team for two October home friendlies against Spain. The USWNT will play Spain at Audi Field in Washington, D.C., on Saturday, Oct. 10, at 2:30 p.m. EDT, and at Subaru Park in Chester, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday, Oct. 13, at 7 p.m. EDT.
Rodman has 57 appearances, 13 goals and 12 assists for the U.S. senior team. Rudd received her 10th senior-team call-up and has recorded 12 appearances and three assists.
Trinity Rodman Brings Recent USWNT Production
Rodman has been a regular member of the U.S. senior team since her first call-up in January 2022. She scored in each of the USWNT’s January friendlies against Chile and Paraguay, including one goal assisted by Rudd.
Rodman also appeared in all three April friendlies against Japan and recorded two assists. She added another assist during the United States’ June trip to Brazil.
With the Washington Spirit, Rodman has started all 26 matches in 2026 and leads the team with 11 goals and seven assists. During her sixth season with the club, she has recorded 47 goals and 30 assists for the Spirit.
Tara Rudd Earns 10th Senior-Team Call-Up
Rudd made her first USWNT appearance and start against Colombia in the 2025 SheBelieves Cup, where she recorded her first international assist. In January, she assisted Rodman against Paraguay for their first scoring connection on the global stage.
Rudd has started and played every minute in all 26 of the Spirit’s matches in 2026. She has helped Washington record a single-season club-record 10 clean sheets, including a club-record four consecutive clean sheets from late March through the end of April.
Rudd was named to the NWSL Best XI of the Month for April and July. Rodman helped the Spirit win the 2021 NWSL Championship and reach the title match in 2024 and 2025, as well as the Concacaf W Champions Cup final in 2026.
Washington Spirit Hosts Gotham FC on Oct. 17
The Washington Spirit will return to Audi Field on Saturday, Oct. 17, when it hosts Gotham FC. The match is scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m. EDT.
