Washington College Shorewomen field hockey defeated the McDaniel College Green Terror, 6-1, on Oct. 7, 2026, at Kibler Field at Roy Kirby Jr. Stadium in Chestertown, Maryland. Jamie Baldwin scored twice, while Erin Houlihan, Tara Radebaugh, Tyler Rice and Natalie Watkinson each scored once in the Centennial Conference win. Washington College improved to 3-8 overall and 1-3 in conference play.
Washington College Builds Six-Goal Lead
Washington College took a 1-0 lead after the first quarter when Baldwin scored with an assist from Laney Errickson. The Shorewomen added two goals within a 50-second span in the second quarter, as Radebaugh scored on a pass from Rice before Rice scored with an assist from Radebaugh.
Baldwin scored again early in the third quarter, with Rice providing the assist. Watkinson and Houlihan then scored 17 seconds apart to give Washington College a 6-0 advantage. Colleen Anson assisted on Watkinson’s goal, while Errickson and Anson each recorded an assist that marked the first career assist and point identified for both players by the source.
Shorewomen Limit McDaniel Opportunities
Washington College finished with 26 shots and 10 penalty corners. The Shorewomen recorded 20 shots on goal, compared with five for the McDaniel College Green Terror.
McDaniel College scored its only goal on a penalty stroke with 6:38 remaining. Charley Noah converted the attempt, but Washington College held the Green Terror scoreless for the rest of the game.
Washington College Goalkeeping and Next Game
Charlotte Schurman made two saves and allowed no goals in 30 minutes. Abby Coppolella also played 30 minutes, making two saves and allowing one goal.
The game served as Washington College’s Play4TheCure Game dedicated to Breast Cancer Awareness. The Shorewomen were scheduled to host No. 14 Ursinus College on Oct. 10, 2026, at noon in another Centennial Conference game.
