The Washington College Shorewomen fell to Stockton University, 6-2, on Sept. 16, 2026, at Stockton Turf Field in Galloway, New Jersey. Jamie Baldwin scored twice for Washington College, recording the first two goals of her career in the nonconference field hockey game.
Stockton University led 2-0 after the first quarter and 4-0 at halftime. The Shorewomen entered the game with a 2-3 record, while Stockton improved to 3-2.
Stockton Builds Early Lead
Washington College created offensive pressure during the opening quarter, but Stockton scored twice in the first 2:53. Sophia Warner had a shot blocked with 3:26 remaining in the quarter, while goalkeeper Charlotte Schurman made five saves during the opening 15 minutes.
Stockton added another goal 1:09 into the second quarter and scored again with 1:23 remaining before halftime. Washington College earned a penalty corner during the period. Tyler Rice and Erin Houlihan each recorded shots that were saved.
Jamie Baldwin Scores Twice
Baldwin put the Shorewomen on the scoreboard with 2:30 remaining in the third quarter, scoring off a penalty corner. The goal was the first of her career and cut Stockton’s lead to 4-1 entering the fourth quarter.
Stockton scored 2:16 into the fourth quarter, but Baldwin answered with 8:33 remaining. Natalie Watkinson assisted on Baldwin’s second goal, which came at the right post and made the score 5-2.
Stockton added one final goal with 6:18 remaining to complete the 6-2 result. Baldwin finished with two goals, while Watkinson recorded one assist.
Charlotte Schurman Makes 11 Saves
Schurman played all 60 minutes in goal for Washington College and made 11 saves while allowing six goals. The Shorewomen recorded seven shots and six penalty corners, while Stockton finished with 16 shots on goal.
Washington College Hosts Catholic University
The Washington College Shorewomen are scheduled to return home Saturday, Sept. 19, at 1 p.m. against the Catholic University Cardinals.
