Washington College Sailing’s Imogene Nuss and Soledad Fintel shared the Shorewoman of the Week honor after winning the A Division at the Chester River Open on Sept. 12, 2026. The Washington College pair scored 23 points on the Chester River, finishing six points ahead of Princeton B.
Nuss and Fintel finished first or second in seven of the 10 races. They won the fourth, eighth and ninth races and added four second-place finishes.
Washington College Sailing Pair Wins A Division
Nuss and Fintel won the A Division with 23 points, while Princeton B finished with 29. Their performance at the Chester River Open combined three race victories with four runner-up finishes.
Nuss is a junior from Dennisville, New Jersey, and Fintel is a sophomore from Lewes, Delaware. The two sailors produced first- or second-place finishes in seven races.
Different Career Milestones for Nuss and Fintel
The honor marked the second career Shorewoman of the Week selection for Nuss. It was the first career honor for Fintel.
