The University of Maryland Eastern Shore has added Chaelan Stier to its athletic training staff as an assistant athletic trainer. The university announced the move Sept. 29, 2026, in Princess Anne, Maryland.
Stier will work alongside head athletic trainer Megan Barnes and associate athletic trainer Sierra Miller. She is originally from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Chaelan Stier Brings Penn State Football Experience
Stier earned a Master of Science in Athletic Training from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. She previously earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a minor in Sports Studies from The Pennsylvania State University.
Stier also completed a two-year Kinesiology Fellowship with the Penn State Football athletic training staff. That experience preceded her move to the University of Maryland Eastern Shore athletic training staff.
Stier Returns to Maryland’s Eastern Shore
During college, Stier began serving with the Ocean City Beach Patrol in Ocean City, Maryland. She continues to work seasonally as a part-time lifeguard.
Stier is returning to the Eastern Shore as part of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore athletics community. The university’s official announcement detailed her education, Penn State Football fellowship and Ocean City Beach Patrol work.
