Steve Smith Sr. already showing leadership
The Baltimore Ravens signed Steve Smith Sr. to bring leadership and toughness to the wide receiver core that was missing Anquan Boldin last season. Smith has already brought the toughness to practice and been a vocal leader. Smith’s toughness and attitude got him in a little scrum with Lardarius Webb during Wednesday’s practice.
Fights during mini camps and training camps are common but rare among veterans that are locks to make the team. Webb and Smith are both locks to make the Ravens but still had it out with each other.
Smith has already stepped up and cooled things off with Webb like any leader would do. Smith bought Webb Dunkin Donuts and wrote that it was a “peace offering” on it. I love the attitude from Smith, he has great qualities of a leader.
Here is Smith’s tweet.
Peace offering from 89… @LWebb21 everyone loves dunkin. … #glazeUpson the world runs on dunkin #stevesmith pic.twitter.com/RqLsmdhZpL
