Steve Pearce due for a Big Month
The Baltimore Orioles are currently riding a four-game win streak and have now worked themselves back into first place after a Toronto Blue Jays loss. The Orioles are also 3-0 in July after they swept the Texas Rangers in a four-game series at Camden Yards.
The recent success is partially due to the fact that Steve Pearce is 31-81 in his last 22 games with 17 RBIs. Pearce is also hitting .338 with ten homeruns and 29 RBIs in only 48 games played. Pearce cannot only hit the ball well but can play a variety of positions and give other veterans a day off when needed.
Pearce is also due for a massive month of July if he keeps up his current pace. He is 5-10 with four runs batted in only three games so far. He also has three extra base hits, one being a homerun and the rest being doubles. He has also acquired two walks, two stolen bases, a sac-fly and four runs scored in the three games played this month.
If the Orioles are gong to make the playoffs it will be because of players like Pearce who have stepped up and led the team when players like Manny Machado and Chris Davis are suspended or aren’t playing to their potential.
