Salisbury University women’s soccer fell 2-0 to the McDaniel College Green Terror on Sept. 4, 2026, in the Seahawk Classic held at Jaime L. Roberts Stadium on the campus of St. Mary’s College of Maryland in St. Mary’s City.
McDaniel Dominates First Half with Two Goals
Salisbury controlled the early pace and created two corner opportunities during the opening five minutes, but McDaniel scored first at 8:42 when Hariette Ngwatung found the net with an assist from Alaina Miller. Katie Pena-Bandalo added a second goal in the 25th minute, capitalizing on a rebound opportunity. Salisbury goalkeeper Riley Kinzeler allowed both goals and made two saves.
Salisbury Outshoots McDaniel in Second Half but Falls Short
Despite trailing, Salisbury outshot McDaniel 8-5 in the second half. Jordan Edwards, Samantha Root, Brooke Spadin, Skylar Williams and Rebecca Fairbanks each recorded shots on goal, with Williams leading the team with three shots overall. Edwards registered two shots on target, and Fairbanks played a full 90 minutes on the backline. Aley Martins replaced Kinzeler in goal for the second half and did not face a shot.
Salisbury was set to face Randolph-Macon at 1 p.m. on Sept. 5 in the Seahawk Classic’s final day.
