Ravens sign Hill

The Baltimore Ravens have signed safety Will Hill to a one-year contract.  The signing of Hill comes a day after the Ravens lost Aaron Ross for the season with a torn Achilles.  Hill comes with baggage as he is suspended for the first six games of the season for violating the leagues substance abuse policy.  The word on Hill is that he is a very talented player but can not stay out of trouble off the field.

Last season for the New York Giants Hill played in 12 games, Hill had 77 tackles, two interceptions and two forced fumbles.  Hill played his college football for the Florida Gators and was undrafted in 2011.

The Ravens look for Hill to add depth and talent midway through the season.  Adding a good safety six games in could be a very smart move for the Ravens as injuries happen often especially in the secondary.  The Ravens will have two young players at safety with Terrence Brooks and Matt Elam.

Hill has to stay clean off the field from here on out but he could add some talent to the Ravens secondary.
