Ravens report card versus the Saints: The offense

http://www2.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/Tyrod+Taylor+Kansas+City+Chiefs+v+Baltimore+TisAocBlM0Ll.jpgThe Baltimore Ravens beat the New Orleans Saints 22 to 13 in the final preseason game.  The Ravens went undefeated this preseason winning all four games.  The report cards for the final preseason game are very hard to do because no starters usually play.

Quarterbacks: Keith Wenning and Tyrod Taylor got the reps in this game. Taylor started and looked good at times but missed on several long throws.  Taylor finished completing 10 out of his 17 passes for 105 yards, a touchdown and an interception.  Wenning finished completing 8 out of 13 pass attempts for 117 yards and a 90.9 quarterback rating.  The Ravens have a tough decision with Wenning, they spend a draft pick on him and he has played well.  Keeping three quarterbacks is something the Raven rarely do.  Grade B

Running backs: Fitzgerald Toussaint opened some eyes with his 103 yard rushing and 6.1 yards per carry average.  Toussaint looked explosive and ran hard on every carry.  Toussaint an undrafted rookie has not seen much playing time and will likely not make the Ravens 53-man but he helped his cause to make the practice squad.  Lorenzo Taliaferro had another good game with 88 yards rushing, Taliaferro will be a big part of the Ravens rushing attack.  Grade A

Receivers: The Ravens have some tough decisions to make with the receivers, they have too many good ones.  Deonte Thompson made the Ravens 53-man with a touchdown receptions and three total receptions.  Thompson has been great all preseason.  Micheal Campanaro will also likely make the team and had a big game with three receptions for 55 yards.  Kamar Aiken lead the Ravens with four receptions for 57 yards and will be a tough cut if he does not make the Ravens.  Aiken has been impressive all preseason and camp but the Ravens can only carry so many players.  Grade B+

Offensive line: The offensive line only allowed three total quarterback hits, that is pretty amazing.  The line had some veterans playing on it but the backups looked great.  No sacks allowed.  Grade A
