Ravens report card: The offense 12/7/2014
The Baltimore Ravens beat the Miami Dolphins 28 to 13, in a game where the Ravens got off to a very slow start but redeemed themselves later in the game. The offense put up 28 points and Joe Flacco had a fantastic game.
Quarterback: Joe Flacco had two passing touchdowns and a rushing touchdown. Flacco straight up put the team on his shoulders by spreading the ball around to nine different targets. Flacco also had a big 15 yard run. Flacco’s only bad pass was an interception in the end zone. Grade A
Running backs: Justin Forsett missed practice this week with a leg injury and still rushed for 71 yards and a touchdown. Lorenzo Taliaferro also had a good game 35 yards on seven carries. Bernard Pierce came in late and cracked off 50 yards on only three carries. Grade B+
Receivers: Steve Smith Sr. had a big game with seven receptions for 70 yards and a touchdown. Kamar Aiken was the big surprise having a career day with six receptions for 65 yards and a touchdown. Torrey Smith was on the field but did not have a catch, he was injured last week and it showed. Marlon Brown also had three good catches. Grade B+
Offensive line: At the beginning of the game this unit did not have much push but that did change. The line only allowed one sack but did let Flacco get pressured which caused the interception. For the most part this unit played very well. Grade B
Overall: Solid day for the offense, the Ravens offense really showed up after the first quarter. Grade B
