Ravens Release Thompson…Promote Toussaint

The Baltimore Ravens have released wide receiver, Deonte Thompson and have promoted Fitzgerald Toussaint, according to Jeff Zrebiec. Both Thompson and Toussaint were very impressive during the preseason and I can see Thompson being back with the Ravens if he passes through waivers.

The Ravens may want Toussaint for depth as Benard Pierce is listed as questionable on the injury report, which means he may not be able to play. Toussaint is a good, hard runner and the Ravens will still be in good hands if he is pushed into action.
