Ravens agree to terms with Daryl Smith
The Baltimore Ravens and middle linebacker Daryl Smith have agreed to terms on a four-year $16.1 million contract, according to Adam Schefter. Smith is the fifth Ravens unrestricted free agent to come back and sign with the Ravens.
Smith is a key player for the Ravens starting all 16 games. Smith was the team leader in tackles with 123 and had five sacks and three interceptions including one that he brought back for a touchdown.
It is easy to say that Smith was one of the Ravens best defensive players last season. Smith also called most of the defensive plays for the Ravens.
This is a fantastic signing for the Ravens as they keep a key player. Smith is 32 years old and may not last the length of his contract but if he does they will have a good linebacker for years to come. Smith really did not show his age last season as he was in on just about every defensive play.
Ravens and LB Daryl Smith reached agreement on a four-year, $16.1 million deal, per sources.
