Orioles win three Gold Gloves
Three out of the six Baltimore Orioles that were nominated for Gold Gloves took home Gold Gloves. Manny Machado, JJ Hardy and Adam Jones were the Orioles that won. Chris Davis, Nick Markakis and Matt Wieters were the other Orioles nominated. Davis might have been the biggest snub.
Jones won his third Gold Glove and it was his third in a row, he is putting together an impressive resume that may just land him in the Hall of Fame one day. Hardy won his second Gold Glove in a row and Machado won his first Gold Glove in his first full season.
It is impressive for one team to win this many Gold Glove’s and it is becoming common for the Orioles who always play great defense. Machado clearly earned his Gold Glove with absolutely sensational play at third. Hardy always made the easy plays and made the hard plays look easy. Davis is a snub because on the few bad throws by Hardy or Machado Davis often balled them out at first.
It is a good day to be an Orioles fan tonight. Congrats to the Gold Glove winners.
