End of first: Tillman looked every bit like the Orioles ace that he was last season.  Tillman struck out Ortiz and Napoli in the first inning.  Pedroia had a base hit but was left on base.

Hardy had the Orioles only hit for the Orioles and the first hit of the Orioles season.  Davis had the Orioles only strike out.

Score is 0-0

End of Second: Two Red Sox got on against Tillman, Carp and Sizemore had base hits.  Defense bailed Tillman out as Cruz made a fantastic catch.  Tillman got out of the inning by striking out Middlebrooks.

Cruz worked a lead off walk and Wieters had a base hit.  Good base running by Cruz put runners on first and third.  Young hit into a double play but Cruz scored.  Flaherty grounded out to end the inning.

Orioles lead 1-0

End of Third: Tillman got the first two outs and Ortiz had a base hit.  Napoli double off Tillman, Tillman struck out Carp to get out of the inning.

Schoop leads off the inning with a base hit and Markakis popped out.  Hardy hit into a double play to end the inning.

Orioles lead 1-0

End of Fourth:  Sizemore hit a home run to tie the game up against Tillman.  Tillman got out of the inning only allowing one run.

Jones with a lead off single to start the inning.  Davis grounded out and Cruz popped out.  Wieters ended the inning with a strikeout.

Game tied 1-1

End of Fifth:  Tillman gets out of the inning despite giving up some long fly balls.  Jones made a great catch robbing Pedroia.

Orioles went three up and three down in the bottom of the inning.  Looks like Tillman is done for the day, he will get a no decision.

Game tied 1-1

End of Sixth: Zach Britton comes on and gives up a double.  Flaherty made a brilliant one-handed play on a Baltimore Chopper to get Pierzynski.

The home plate umpire can not help but help the Red Sox as he called Markakis out on a ball that was about a foot off the plate.  Hardy grounded out and Jones kept the game alive with a base hit.  Davis had a really good at bat but struck out.

Game tied 1-1

End of Seventh:  Britton had a three up and three down inning.  Britton was dominate against the top of the order of the Red Sox.

Cruz lead off the inning with a solo home run, first homer as an Oriole and first Orioles home run of the season.  Orioles do not get a base runner after that.  Umpire helped Lester out again on the last pitch to Flaherty, clearly not a strike.

Orioles lead 2-1

End of Eight: Meek allowed two walks and was pulled after getting two outs.  Matusz came on and got the final out.

Orioles went three up and three down.  Hunter is coming on for the save.

Orioles lead 2-1

End of Game:  Hunter came on for the save and hit Middlebrooks in the back.  Hunter then got Nava to pop up and Pedroia gets a single.  Hunter got Ortiz to fly out and Jackie Bradley Jr. strikes out.  Britton gets the win, Hunter the save.

Orioles WIN 2-1
