This game may have been the most frustrating loss of the week.

MSB Players of the Week
⭐ Heston Kjerstad
Kjerstad was once again the offensive catalyst for Norfolk.
The Orioles prospect consistently reached base, scored runs, and remained a middle-of-the-order threat throughout the week. Kjerstad continues knocking on Baltimore’s door and remains one of the organization’s most important depth pieces.
⭐ José Barrero
Barrero delivered clutch hits all week, including a huge two-run homer in Friday night’s extra-inning game.
The veteran infielder continues providing leadership and production while showing he could help Baltimore if injuries strike.
⭐ Nestor German
German’s eight-strikeout performance was the best pitching effort by a Tide this week.
Despite not receiving a win, the outing demonstrated why Norfolk’s rotation continues to be one of the brighter spots in the organization.
Looking Ahead
Norfolk enters the weekend hoping to finish the Syracuse series on a positive note before returning home. The Tides continue to get strong performances from Kjerstad, Barrero, Encarnacion-Strand, and several pitching prospects, but late-inning relief pitching remains the biggest obstacle standing between Norfolk and a stronger record. With multiple Orioles prospects continuing to perform, Baltimore fans will want to keep a close eye on Harbor Park over the coming weeks.
Record This Week: 2-4
Top Hitter: Heston Kjerstad
Top Pitcher: Nestor German
Biggest Concern: Bullpen consistency
Biggest Positive: Continued production from Orioles prospects nearing major league readiness.
