Nationals Avoid Sweep, Beat Brewers 7-3
It’s been a rough week for the Washington Nationals, but they ended the series against the Milwaukee Brewers on the right note.
Washington wasted no time getting on the board with a two run single by Daniel Murphy to take a 2-0 lead. The Nationals added on thanks to a wild pitch from Brewers pitcher Freddy Peralta to take a 3-0 lead after the first inning. Washington would add onto their lead with a three run home run by home run king Bryce Harper and a solo home run by Juan Soto to take a 7-0 lead, which the Nationals would hold onto for a 7-3 victory, giving Tanner Roark his fourth win of the season and hopefully providing some much needed momentum for the Nationals.
Nationals will head to Miami to face the Marlins in a four game series this weekend
