Jack Nebbia earned an individual second-place finish, while the Mount St. Mary’s University women’s cross country team placed second at the JMU XC Invitational at New Market Battlefield in New Market, Virginia. Nebbia completed the men’s 8K race in 26:51.1, averaging 5:24.1 per mile.
Nebbia improved his 8K time by 29 seconds from the previous week’s Stevenson Invitational. Gio Medrano finished sixth in the men’s race in 27:40.9, and EJ Villaver placed ninth in 28:12.6.
Mount St. Mary’s Women’s Cross Country Finishes Second
Riley Bell and Audrey Musmeci paced the Mount St. Mary’s University women’s team. Bell finished 11th in the women’s 5K in 21:34.0 and earned nine points, while Musmeci placed 12th in 21:42.3 and earned 10 points.
Katelynn Odums finished 15th in 22:47.8, followed by Ella Swart in 17th in 23:22.8. Shannon Polun placed 18th in 24:32.0, rounding out the points for the women’s team.
Next Meet
Mount St. Mary’s University will compete in Gettysburg’s Aubrey Shenk Invitational on October 17, 2026. The meet will be the Mount’s final cross country meet of the regular season.
