Millwood gets first win

Baltimore Orioles pitcher Kevin Millwood finally got his first win as a Baltimore Oriole, it was not easy as the Orioles beat the San Diego Padres 5-4. Millwood got off to a shaky start after a blown rundown play in the first inning led to 3 runs and a very high pitch count.

After the first inning, Millwood was shut down, lasting six innings. Millwood received five runs to help him win, and the Orioles needed every run. Baltimore Orioles closer Alfredo Simon had men on 2nd and 3rd with no outs, one of which would score.

Millwood has not pitched that bad for the Orioles, he has been plagued with low run support in every start for the Orioles. All the Orioles starters have had low run support as the Orioles have not been able to score runs.
