Machado's suspension is upheld, begins tonight
The Baltimore Orioles got bad news regarding Manny Machado’s suspension as it was upheld. Machado appealed the suspension hoping it would get reduced. The five-game suspension was not reduced and Machado will begin serving it tonight.
The Orioles will likely have Ryan Flaherty playing third base during this time. Jonathan Schoop can play third but he showed that he is very inexperienced there.
Machado has been hitting for power lately but his average is still only .239. Machado’s defense has still shined this season despite the offensive struggles.
The Orioles are short in the bullpen after getting blown out last night so a roster move could happen. The Orioles hands may be tied and the may not be able to bring up an extra infielder.
