Loyola Women's Soccer Looks to Build Momentum in 2026: Full Greyhounds Schedule Released

The Loyola Maryland women’s soccer team has officially unveiled its 2026 schedule, and the Greyhounds will once again face a demanding slate that includes regional rivals, strong non-conference tests, and a challenging Patriot League campaign.

Head coach Caitlin Behm enters the new season looking to guide Loyola back into Patriot League title contention. The schedule provides plenty of opportunities for the Greyhounds to build an NCAA Tournament résumé while developing a roster that blends experienced veterans with promising newcomers.

The season opens with several important non-conference contests before conference play begins in late September. Those early matches will be critical as Loyola prepares for another competitive Patriot League race featuring perennial contenders such as Army, Navy, Boston University and Bucknell.

  • Road trip to Iowa State, a first-ever meeting between the programs.
  • Patriot League opener that begins the chase for conference positioning.

What This Schedule Means

Loyola’s non-conference slate is balanced with quality regional opponents that should prepare the Greyhounds for league play. Road matches against Towson, Drexel, George Washington and Iowa State will test the team’s depth before Patriot League competition begins.

Conference play will once again determine Loyola’s postseason hopes. Every point matters in one of the nation’s deepest mid-major conferences, where a handful of matches often separate the regular-season champion from teams fighting simply to qualify for the Patriot League Tournament.

The Greyhounds have assembled a veteran roster featuring experienced leadership throughout the lineup, and expectations will be high entering 2026. With home matches against Army, American and Boston University, Loyola will have opportunities to earn signature conference victories in front of its home supporters.

If Loyola can navigate its difficult early schedule and enter Patriot League play with momentum, the Greyhounds should once again be in the mix for a conference tournament berth and a chance to compete for an NCAA Tournament bid.
