The Hood College women’s golf team won the Golden Oaks Shootout with a team score of 357 at Golden Oaks Golf Course in Fleetwood, Pennsylvania. Hood finished 15 strokes ahead of second-place Alvernia in the 18-hole tournament, while its score was six strokes off the program record.
Gabi Miller led Hood by finishing third among 20 golfers with an 83. Keira Corcoran placed fifth with an 88, giving the Blazers two top-five finishers.
Seven Hood College Golfers Finish in Top 12
Hood placed seven golfers in the top 12. Mia Cheesebrough finished eighth with a 92, Emily White placed ninth with a 94, and Delaney Hench and Sophia Stultz tied for 10th with scores of 96.
Olivia Kamieniarz finished 12th. Eliza Somji competed as an independent, recorded a career-best 90 and tied for sixth, while Izzy Yang of Swarthmore won the individual competition.
Hood College Women’s Golf Team Set for Mid-Atlantic Shootout
Hood College will finish its fall season at the Mid-Atlantic Shootout hosted by Stevenson University. The event is scheduled for October 12 and October 23 at Oakmont Green in Hampstead, Maryland.
