Frostburg State University freshman Izabella McDonald was named the Mountain East Conference Women’s Runner of the Week, the conference announced Sept. 21, 2026. The weekly Cross Country Runner of the Week awards were presented by The Health Plan.
McDonald Places Third at Hornet Harrier Invitational
McDonald earned the honor after posting a time of 11:28.7 in the 3K race at the Hornet Harrier Invitational. Her time placed her third overall and made her the top Frostburg State University runner in the race.
The Mountain East Conference announcement came after Frostburg State University’s women’s cross country team competed at the Colonial Invitational on Sept. 11 and the Hornet Harrier Invitational on Sept. 19. McDonald’s performance at the Hornet Harrier Invitational earned her the conference’s weekly women’s award.
