Fredericksburg Nationals left-handed pitcher Juan Reyes was named Carolina League Pitcher of the Week for Week 22, covering Aug. 24-30, Minor League Baseball announced Aug. 31, 2026. Reyes earned the honor after pitching five scoreless innings in a start at Delmarva, allowing one hit and striking out four.
Juan Reyes Earns Carolina League Honor
Reyes is in his first stateside season after spending two years in the Dominican Summer League. He signed with the Nationals as an international free agent from Panama City, Panama, in 2023.
He debuted with Fredericksburg Nationals on July 24, after appearing in 11 games and making nine starts in the Florida Complex League this season. Minor League Baseball also named him an FCL Postseason All-Star last week.
Reyes is the fifth Fredericksburg Nationals player to win a Carolina League weekly award, following Yeremy Cabrera, Gavin Fien, Carson Fischer and Coy James.
Fredericksburg Nationals to Host Wilson Warbirds
The Fredericksburg Nationals will finish the regular season with a seven-game home series against the Wilson Warbirds. First pitch for Tuesday’s series opener is scheduled for 6:05 p.m.
