Frederick Keys Win 10-7 as Enddy Azocar Records Three Hits in Debut

The Frederick Keys defeated the Jersey Shore BlueClaws 10-7 Tuesday night, Aug. 4, at ShoreTown Ballpark in Lakewood, New Jersey, to open a six-game road series. Enddy Azocar recorded three hits and three RBIs in his Frederick Keys debut.

Frederick Keys Build Early Lead

The Keys jumped out to an early 4-0 lead in the top of the first inning. Colin Tuft scored from third on a wild pitch, Colin Yeaman drew an RBI bases-loaded walk, and Yasmil Bucce capped the inning with a two-RBI double.

The Jersey Shore BlueClaws fought back, scoring three runs in the bottom of the first. They tied the game at 4-4 in the second inning on an RBI single.

Keys Regain and Extend Lead

Frederick regained the lead in the fourth inning with an RBI sacrifice fly from Braylon Whitaker and an RBI single from Enddy Azocar. Both players recorded their first RBIs in their Frederick Keys debuts.

After a scoreless fifth inning, Azocar added his second RBI of the game with a single to center field in the sixth, giving Frederick a 7-5 lead. Colin Yeaman followed with his second home run of the season, a solo shot to left field, extending the advantage to 8-5.

Colin Tuft scored from third on a Jersey Shore throwing error, but the BlueClaws responded with a two-run homer in the eighth inning to cut the lead to 9-7.

Azocar Provides Insurance Runs

In the ninth inning, Azocar provided insurance with his third RBI, driving in a run with a double to extend the Keys’ lead to 10-7. Chandler Marsh then closed out the game to secure the victory for Frederick.

The Keys won the series opener and will play the second game on Wednesday afternoon at 12:05 p.m. at ShoreTown Ballpark.

Enddy Azocar led the Keys with three hits and three RBIs in his debut. Braylon Whitaker also recorded an RBI in his debut, while Yasmil Bucce and Colin Yeaman contributed key extra-base hits.

Frederick opened the six-game road series with a 10-7 victory over the Jersey Shore BlueClaws. Game two is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon at ShoreTown Ballpark.
