Former Raven Haloti Ngata to be Inducted into Ravens Ring of Honor
The Ravens will induct defensive tackle Haloti Ngata into the teams Ring of Honor at halftime of the Ravens week five Monday night matchup against the Indianapolis Colts.
Drafted by the Ravens with the 12th overall pick in 2006, Ngata spent nine seasons with the team. Playing in 135 games for the Ravens, Ngata was a force on the Ravens defensive line accumulating 447 tackles, 25.5 sacks, six forced fumbles, and five interceptions.
During his time with the Ravens, Ngata made five Pro Bowls, was a two time First team All-Pro, and three time Second team All-Pro. Ngata was a key contributor in Super Bowl 47 totaling 13 tackles helping the Ravens to capture their second Lombardi trophy.
Known for his size, strength, and bone crushing hits on the football field. Ngata was also a prominent figure in the Baltimore community. Through his Haloti Ngata Family Foundation, Ngata has provided support for at-risk youth, as well as provided college-prep resources for high school students throughout Baltimore. Ngata will now be immortalized alongside 28 Baltimore football legends.
