D.C. United announced the launch of Her Club: Women United, a membership-based community designed for women who love the game, the city and each other. The organization opened 100 founding member spots during its Major League Soccer match against the Columbus Crew on Wednesday, Sept. 9, at Audi Field in Washington, D.C.
Fans could join for free at the Her Club activation zone in Gate A Plaza at Audi Field or by following @DCUnitedTogether on Instagram. The launch-day activation also featured a photo backdrop by Doable You, where members could take photos with DC Power FC players.
Her Club Will Feature Exclusive Experiences
Her Club members receive premier access and advance information about upcoming exclusive experiences and collaborations. D.C. United listed a wellness event, leadership summit, happy hours and book club among the planned offerings.
“Her Club is a celebration of the women who make our community what it is,” said Shanell Mosley, Senior Director, Community Impact & Executive Director of the D.C. United Foundation. “We wanted to create a space for women to connect, build relationships and enjoy the game together – and we’re excited to grow this community with our founding members.”
