Chris Moore Returns to Baltimore: Ravens Reunite With Veteran Receiver Ahead of Training Camp
The Baltimore Ravens are bringing back a familiar face, signing veteran wide receiver Chris Moore as training camp gets underway. The move reunites the franchise with one of its own, adding an experienced receiver and proven special teams contributor to an evolving wide receiver room. Reports indicate Moore earned the contract after participating in a workout that also included veteran receivers Sterling Shepard, Dante Pettis, and Casey Washington.
Moore, 33, was originally selected by Baltimore in the fourth round (107th overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft out of Cincinnati. During his first five NFL seasons with the Ravens (2016-20), he became known for his reliability on special teams, willingness to block, and ability to stretch the field when his number was called.
After leaving Baltimore, Moore spent time with the Houston Texans, Tennessee Titans, Arizona Cardinals, and most recently the Washington Commanders. Last season with Washington, he caught 11 passes for 207 yards and one touchdown, averaging an impressive 18.8 yards per reception while playing nearly half of the team’s offensive snaps.
