Carroll Community College Women’s Volleyball Team Defeats Penn Highlands in Five Sets

Carroll Community College women’s volleyball team defeated Penn Highlands, 3-2, on October 6, 2026, in Hampstead, Maryland. Carroll Community College women’s volleyball team won the deciding set 15-13 after the teams split the first four sets.

Carroll Community College Women’s Volleyball Team Wins Three Sets

Carroll opened with a 25-20 victory in the first set. Penn Highlands answered in the second set, winning 27-25 after Carroll rallied from a deficit of as many as nine points and tied the score at 23-23.

Carroll claimed the third set 27-25, but Penn Highlands forced a decisive fifth set with a 25-21 win in the fourth. Carroll then closed out the match with a 15-13 victory in the fifth set. Three sets were decided by two points.

Carroll Community College Players Make Key Plays

Tamara Conway and Hayli Hartlaub had notable serving runs during the match. Bella Denning made defensive plays to keep rallies alive, while Keily Alfaro and Haleigh Hodges recorded notable digs.
