Three members of the Bowie State men’s basketball team—Justin Morrisey, Jamel Melvin and Amari Cribb—have been named to the 2025-26 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court. This distinction recognizes men’s basketball student-athletes at junior, senior and graduate levels who achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher during the academic year.
The NABC Honors Court includes more than 2,300 student-athletes from all collegiate divisions, highlighting their commitment to excellence in both academics and athletics. Interim head coach Bryan Wilson praised the trio, saying, “We are proud of Amari, Justin and Jamel for earning the NABC Academic Honors and representing Bowie State with excellence. This honor is a testament to their hard work and commitment to their academics.”
“Their achievement reflects the culture we are committed to building, one that values academic success, accountability and developing young men who excel both on and off the court,” Wilson added.
