Three members of the Bowie State men’s basketball program — Justin Morrisey, Jamel Melvin and Amari Cribb — were named to the 2025-26 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court for their achievements in the classroom.
Three Bowie State Men’s Basketball Members Recognized
The NABC Honors Court recognizes junior, senior and graduate student men’s basketball student-athletes who finished the 2025-26 academic year with a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher. Morrisey, Melvin and Cribb were among more than 2,300 student-athletes from all levels of college basketball who earned the distinction, highlighting their commitment to excellence both on the court and in the classroom.
Interim head coach Bryan Wilson expressed pride in the trio’s accomplishment, saying, “We are proud of Amari, Justin and Jamel for earning the NABC Academic Honors and representing Bowie State with excellence. This honor is a testament to their hard work and commitment to their academics.
